Agronomy

Nicklaus Design's agronomy service is arguably the leading maintenance consulting group for golf course design, construction, and maintenance. Our agronomists work with clients worldwide to make sure their courses achieve the highest standard of playing conditions possible while conserving and protecting precious resources and promoting financial efficiency.
Jon Scott, President of Nicklaus Design Agronomy Services, has over 35 years of experience in the field, including almost a decade as head of the PGA Tour's Agronomy Department and another 12 years with Nicklaus Design. Jon leads a team of highly professional consulting agronomists who adhere to the Nicklaus standard of excellence in all of their work while providing unparalleled service to clients.

Agronomy consulting begins with involvement in matters of water resource management, soil analysis, irrigation design, greens construction, and bunker sand selection. Additionally, the agronomists determine proper grass selections and establishment programs, while offering design assistance for maintenance centers, equipment inventory, maintenance staff organization and training, and conditioning standards consistent with Nicklaus product expectations. They also provide maintenance consulting to existing Nicklaus Design and non-Nicklaus facilities to help them reach and remain at the top of the scale for marketing and member satisfaction.
Nicklaus Design Agronomy Services gives our product and yours a visible edge over the competition.
