Westin Bear Mountain Victoria welcomes Telus World Skins Game

The announcement of Mike Weir's participation in the 2010 TELUS World Skins Game finds The Westin Bear Mountain Golf Resort & Spa, Victoria well into the planning for the June 21 and 22 championship and creating opportunities for locals and visitors to participate in the excitement.
"When the decision was made to stage the TELUS World Skins Game on the resort's Mountain Course, our investment in the distinction of being the only golf resort with 36 holes of Nicklaus Design golf was validated," said director of golf Shayne Dysart of The Westin Bear Mountain. "Endorsements like "masterpiece" when golfers learn that they are coming to play the Bear are not only exciting for us but they are exciting for the entire Region as this level of competition has a multiplier effect that benefits locals and the entire Region. The TELUS World Skins Game at The Westin Bear Mountain will elevate golf on Vancouver Island around the world. We are thrilled that Mike Weir will headline this year's competition and we look forward to welcoming him and to creating opportunities for locals and visitors to share in the excitement up close and personal."
The Westin Bear Mountain has created two unique opportunities for fans to get involved in the TELUS World Skins Game.
• Play the Bear before the Pros (golf either the Valley or Mountain course and receive a 2 day pass June 21 and June 22 and golf shirt: $375.00/per person and includes Power Cart with GPS, Club Valet, Practice Balls, Bottled Water and Club Cleaning.
• Private corporate shotgun tournament for either one group of 100 or several smaller groups of 16+ on the Valley Course June 21 that will include; VIP warm-up with CPGA golf professionals and a 2 day pass for the TELUS World Skins Game.
