This is the fourth course on The Bear Trace. On some of the highest terrain in west Tennessee, Jack draped a 7,118-yard, par-72 layout on a choice site in Henderson, Tennessee. Carved from a thick forest of oak, pine, hickory and tulip poplar, the holes rise and fall through the trees. With water play on 13 holes, Chickasaw is the most testing of the Trace courses, but the challenge is fair. Because shots must be leapfrogged from one safe landing area to the next, Chickasaw tends to favor placement over power.
From the handcrafted log clubhouse, golfers enjoy a picturesque view of gently rolling fairways framed by ancient oak trees and massive pines. Flowing water from Piney Creek, several small streams and marshlands pose a daunting hazard to careless tee and fairway shots. Intimidating bunkers guard many of the undulating bentgrass greens.

"Golf is all about being outdoors and enjoying what Mother Nature gave us. That's certainly at the foundation of The Bear Trace."
