Campeche Playa Golf Marina & Spa Resort
The most exclusive and largest tourist-residential complex in Mexico, Campeche Playa Golf Marina & SPA Resort is set on 761 acres along the gulf side of the Yucatan Peninsula in the municipality of Champotón. A 45-minute scenic drive from Campeche City is all it takes to reach Campeche Playa Golf Marina & SPA Resort. There are three International Airports located nearby the Resort: Campeche, Ciudad del Carmen and Merida Airport. There is also a private heliport located within the Resort.
18 Hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course
The 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course offers breathtaking views of the native mangrove and jungle areas, lakes, marina, beach and residential areas. It is developed in harmony with the native vegetation which consists of jungle and mangrove swamp areas. This golf course naturally fits with the native biological ecosystem and it preserves the ecological balance and the sustainability of fauna and flora species. The holes are characterized by singular features such as shots over water hazards, greens on small peninsulas, holes along the beach, etc. The Golf Course membership is included with every apartment and will entitle the owners to play one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean and to enjoy club facilities such as restaurants, meeting rooms, bars, gym, changing rooms, tennis courts, e.t.c.
Sports Marina
Our resort is washed by the waters of the Gulf of Mexico which offer the possibility for deep sea fishing of Couch's sea bream, grouper, tuna, a Mexican type of jack fish and ray among others, as well as shrimps and all sorts of shell fish. Within the resort there will be a Marina with a capacity of 150 slips and a Yacht Club for sea enthusiasts. The club will consist of a club house, restaurant, meeting room, changing rooms, gym, dry marina, etc.
Residential
Puerta de Mar Villages: shaped as a sea shell, all the beach residences enjoy views to the beach and to the golf course. From the terraces with private Jacuzzi, which can be found in all the apartments, one can enjoy the spectacular sunset. All buildings have direct access to the beach.
Golden Bear Residences: lined up along the golf paths, these golf residences protect the abundant native vegetation and face both the golf course and the sea.
Marina Villages: adjacent to the promenade and the pier, the Marina residences are three and four storey buldings with commercial and leisure units al grade linked to the Yacht Club and the quays.
Campeche
The state of Campeche was one of the most important sites of the ancient Mayan culture and today, enjoys numerous archaeological ruins in perfect state of preservation. Some of these sites have been declared World Heritage; such as the case of the archaeological ruins of Calakmul and the historic Fortified City of Campeche, capital of the state; both of which are a must on any visitor's itinerary. Its colourful vibrancy, its beauty, the air of history in its commerce, which is reminiscent of its defence against pirates, of its culinary traditions...all of these added to the authenticity of Campeche City, a city which has conscientiously preserved its history and its legacy.
Fortified cities, magnificent bastions, colonial historic quarters which have been preserved to present day, majestic haciendas... all of these represent a perfect amalgam of pre-Hispanic culture and the architecture and traditions brought by conquerors, which create a modern and singular Campeche.
Ecological improvement:
The construction of the development has been planned in such a way for it to fit with the natural environment, respecting the natural elements and with special focus on the protection and the ecological improvement of the area. The native fauna and flora have been respected while highlighting some of their most significant aspects. Mangrove swamp areas and low jungle will be maintained and from every inch of the development one will be able to gaze at birds such as herons, amongst many other unique species in their natural environment.
