Located in one of Atlanta’s most exclusive Country Club communities, The Country Club of the South offers a premier golfing experience. When the golf course at The Country Club of the South was completed in June 1987, course designer and noted champion Jack Nicklaus was there for the celebration. He explained his thinking behind this magnificent course design…”I look upon my design work an expression of myself. I don’t design courses around my game, but for the enjoyment of the kinds of golfers who are going to play them.” The result of this mission, his Signature course at The Country Club of the South, presents a challenge to al level of players.
The Country Club of the South course recently underwent a million dollar renovation and has always been considered by Mr. Nicklaus as one of his best. Today, his course, with natural rolling terrain, native Georgia pines, hickory, oak and dogwood trees has matured into one of the finest golfing venues in the South.
