Regional golf lifestyle magazine Colorado AvidGolfer recently ranked Cherry Creek Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II co-design, “Best Overall Experience” in its Spring 2012 issue. Cherry Creek Country Club is located in Denver and boasts an array of movement, water, landscaping, and seven sets of tee boxes ranging from 4,981 to 7,450 yards.

Nicklaus Design dominated the rankings, as two others created by the Golden Bear tied for second. Castle Pines Golf Club and The Country Club at Castle Pines, both in Castle Rock, Colo. were runners-up for the “Best Overall Experience” award. Both clubs are Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses. The Country Club at Castle Pines took home the “Most Underrated Club” award, while Castle Pines Golf Club finished first in “Best Locker Room” and “Best Food”—just ahead of Cherry Creek in both categories. Castle Pines Golf Club tied for second in the “Toughest Test” category.
