Course Overview
Many of the members and many admirers recall the elegance and superior quality of La Gorce Country Club in the 1960's. Jack Grout, the Club's classic golf Professional, was working at the time with a young man named Jack Nicklaus, who would ultimately become recognized as the most outstanding golfer in the history of the game.
In 1993 Jack Nicklaus took on the restoration of the La Gorce Country Club. Without significantly changing the character or playability of the course----could put La Gorce among the top golf courses in Florida. The Board and Restoration Committee asks you to imagine the pride and enjoyment of that level of quality.
