"Diablo Grande has a marvelous setting for a golf course. With the existing vineyards and rolling hills, we had a wonderful canvas on which to work. The natural terrain and its movement afforded us the ability to enhance rather than create. The end result were some very unique golf holes. I thought we produced a very pretty, playable golf course in the middle of the Diablo Mountains in California. It's a golf course in which I certainly enjoyed being involved." - Jack Nicklaus
