Course Overview
The Bear course at Okanagan is Bill O'Leary's, Jack's only son-in-law, first course. It is an 18 hole, 6,900-yard, par-72 masterpiece unlike any other golf course in British Columbia. With dramatic sculpted fairways surrounded by the forests and sagebrush hills of B.C.'s sun-drenched southern interior, the Bear is the crown jewel course of the Okanagan Valley.
The concept and strategy, was devoted to meticulously transforming the terrain into 18 extremely playable and receptive fairways. Nicklaus Design's interpretation of this land helped position The Okanagan Golf Club - Bear Course as a must play in the Okanagan Valley. Holes 13, 14, and 15 are truly picturesque; 150,000 cubic meters of earth were moved to create a beautiful lake and dramatic sculpted fairways - each exceptionally designed to ignite your passion for the game.
