Texas’ Traditions Club and Community nearing sell-out of Mahogany Drive development

The marvelous and modern clubhouse isn’t as swanky as Steyn’s pad, but it’s pretty nice, just like everything inside the gates of this burgeoning “city.”

Traditions—the private golf club and residential community neighboring Texas A&M University and the burgeoning ATLAS development—is nearing sell-out of its Mahogany Drive neighborhood.

Home sites that range from just over one-third to nearly three-quarters of an acre overlook gorgeous oak trees and the community’s rolling terrain. Mahogany Drive also offers a cul-de-sac street and a private cart path leading to the first and 10th holes of the club’s Jack Nicklaus with Jack Nicklaus II-designed golf course.

Mahogany Drive is the only golf course community in Traditions that is gated. Prices start at $160,000 for parcels that seemingly disappear into the wooded scenery. Golf course lots begin at just under $200,000 and offer views of fairways and greens without impeding golfers. With no build-time specification on these home sites, buyers can take their time in creating the home of their dreams.

“The lots in Mahogany Drive assure quiet leisure and serene privacy for each creatively designed home,” says Spencer Clements, Principal, Traditions Club and Community. “We anticipate they will sell out quickly as demand continues to rise in the Bryan / College Station area.”

The Mahogany Drive development is a short walk from the 21,000-square-foot Traditions clubhouse, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a fully equipped fitness center and the Family Swim Center and Pool Grille. Numerous dining options inside the clubhouse include the 1876 Wine Cellar and Sully Dining Room.

Also situated close to the Mahogany Drive community are Cottages and Casitas for overnight accommodations that exude rustic elegance. Available in two-, three- and four-bedroom models, the quarters are fully furnished with the comforts of home, like cable television, washer and dryer, outdoor kitchens and many other amenities.

With nearly 200,000-square-feet of retail, office and restaurant space connected by a pedestrian-friendly network of paths and trails, the ATLAS development will offer professionals and families a respite from the student-oriented retail, restaurant and housing that dominates the Bryan / College Station area.

Currently under construction, The Stella Hotel will be the focal point of the 200-acre ATLAS community. The full-service, 177-key property will feature a restaurant/bar, extensive meeting space, wellness spa, grand ballroom with an outdoor function lawn, and rooftop outdoor living room.

Located just steps from the Traditions Club and Community entrance, the Parc at Traditions enclave will house 159 senior living units—91 independent-living, 44 assisted-living and 24 memory care apartment homes—gracefully incorporated into a stylish, resort-like setting. Construction of this landmark senior living campus began this past November.
