Jack Nicklaus and Jack II headline a Hall of Fame Field in this weekend's PNC Father/Son Challenge

What beats a pair of Jacks? Three of a kind, of course.

Jack Nicklaus and his son, Jack II, headline a field full of World Golf Hall of Fame members, golf legends and their children when the PNC Father/Son Challenge tees off for the 17th time Saturday at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes. Jack Nicklaus III, age 24, will join his father and grandfather as caddie, making the Nicklauses the only team in the field to feature three generations.

Jack Nicklaus to receive Congressional Gold Medal

Honor recognizes service to nation in promoting excellence, good sportsmanship, and philanthropy

Legislation to award the Congressional Gold Medal to the Golden Bear, spearheaded by U.S. Senators Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), has passed the U.S. Senate. The award recognizes Ohio-native Jack Nicklaus for his service to the nation in promoting excellence, good sportsmanship, and philanthropy. For over two centuries, Congress has awarded gold medals as an expression of public appreciation for the contributions of its most distinguished citizens. The legislation now heads to the President's desk for signature.

Nicklaus was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005, and he and Arnold Palmer are the only golfers in history to receive both honors. The legislation now heads to the President's desk for signature.

Golf Inc. recognizes three Nicklaus layouts as Development of Year honorees

Golf Inc. will honor six golf courses from five countries in this year's Development of the Year competition, including an impressive three by Nicklaus Design: Nicklaus Club-Beijing in China; Quivira Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in New York, New York.

Honda Classic named PGA Tour's
'Most Fan-Friendly Event'

The Honda Classic was named the "Most Fan Friendly" event on the PGA Tour at the annual “Best Of” awards, presented at the Tour's annual meeting in La Quinta, Calif.

The Honda Classic has made a massive commitment to the spectator experience since moving to the Jack Nicklaus-redesigned Champion Course at PGA National in 2007. The tournament was one of only 10 events to receive awards from the Tour.
