Jack Nicklaus, hailed as the greatest golfer to ever play the game, made the final appearance of his historic, record-setting major championship career on July 15, 2005 at The Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. It was there in 1978 that Nicklaus won his third and final Open Championship, and it was there that he bid farewell to championship golf. To commemorate this historical event, the Royal Bank of Scotland issued a 5-pound note featuring Jack's image from that '78 victory. The Golden Bear became the first living person outside the Royal family to appear on actual British currency. Licensed by the Nicklaus Companies, Doug London is proud to commemorate his historical farewell with this painting and an exclusive limited edition of 78 giclee prints, all signed and numbered by Jack Nicklaus.
