Creighton Farms Invitational (September 19, 2012)

Children's National Medical Center patient Amanda Merrell, 10, gets a Golden Bear-hug from Jack. Amanda was diagnosed at 2 years old with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. She went through years of grueling chemotherapy and also the amputation of her left leg. By the time she entered Kindergarten, she was leading the life of a normal child, only with what she called "her bionic leg." Amanda plays soccer and is on the swim team. Part of the proceeds from the inaugural Creighton Farms Invitational benefit Children's National.
