Memorial Tournament Announces Strong Contingent of International Players for 2010
Dublin, Ohio – Officials of the Memorial Tournament presented by Morgan Stanley announced today a strong contingent of international players committed to the field for the 2010 Memorial May 31–June 6 at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
The list includes: Two-time major championship winner by way of the 2007 U.S. Open Championship and 2009 Masters Tournament, Angel Cabrera of Argentina; South Korean K.J. Choi, winner of the 2007 Memorial Tournament; three-time international winner Tim Clark, who has three top-ten finishes on the PGA TOUR this year; winner of the 2001 and 2004 U.S. Open Championships, Retief Goosen of South Africa; sixteen-year-old Italian sensation Matteo Manassero, the reigning British Amateur champion; winner of the 2009 Dubai Desert Classic on the European Tour, 20-year-old northern Irishman Rory Mcilroy; seven-time international winner Andres Romero of Argentina, who has one PGA TOUR title; Henrik Stenson of Sweden, winner of the 2009 Players; three-time PGA TOUR winner Camilo Villegas of Columbia, who won the Honda Classic earlier this year; and 2003 Masters winner Mike Weir of Canada.
All-week Patron Badges to the 2010 Memorial Tournament are available to the general public. The badges cost $155 and include a complimentary three-day Practice Round ticket at no extra cost. Daily tickets for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds are also available. The cost is $30, and they are valid for all three practice-round days.
