Anna Alfaro Named Designer of Jack Nicklaus Sportswear
Former designer for Polo and Tommy Hilfiger joins the Hartmarx/Jack
Nicklaus team
NEW YORK, NEW YORK --- July 3, 2002 --- Anna Alfaro has been appointed
designer of Jack Nicklaus Sportswear. The announcement was made by Rob
Stein, vice president of Jack Nicklaus Sportswear, to whom Alfaro will
report. She is based in New York.
In this position, Alfaro is responsible for all design of Jack
Nicklaus Sportswear at green grass which includes knit and woven shirts,
sweaters, trousers, shorts and outerwear, commencing with the Spring 2003
collection.
"Anna's extensive background in designer golf sportswear makes her
uniquely qualified to take the Jack Nicklaus collection to the next
level," said Stein. Prior to joining Hartmarx as the designer for
Pringle sportswear, Alfaro was a designer for Polo Ralph Lauren men's and
women's golf wear, head designer for Tommy Hilfiger golf and a designer
for Hilfiger men's sportswear.
Alfaro earned her B.F.A. degree from Parsons School of Design and a
B.F.A. degree from Rhode Island School of Design.
Jack Nicklaus is a brand under the HMX Sportswear subsidiary of
Hartmarx Corporation (NYSE: HMX). Hartmarx produces and markets business,
casual and golf apparel for both men and women through a broad range of
retail channels.
