My grandfather tells me he saw Jack on the first tee...

I, myself, was never lucky enough to meet Mr. Nicklaus, but my great- grandfather, Edward Majka has told me many stories about his many meetings with the Golden Bear, especially when he was a young man living in Cleveland. His favorite story, though, was when Jack's son Gary was playing in the Porter Cup at the Niagara Falls Country Club, my grandfather tells me he saw Jack on the first tee and asked to walk the course with him throughout the day.

My parents gave me a gift when I was born. They named me Nicklaus!

I have never met Jack in person, I have only seen him on TV. I do however feel a strong connection with him and admire his achievements. My parents gave me a gift when I was born. They named me Nicklaus! :) They had and still have big aspirations for me and naming me after such a great person is something I am very proud of.

Mr. Nicklaus was, is, and will always be the best in my book!

I followed Mr. Nicklaus at the Senior Open at Saucon Valley near Allentown, Pa. At the turn during the last round, I yelled to Jack,"Let's go Jack! I'm a priest and I'm praying for you!"

Such a gentleman!

I'll never forget this. I was at the opening round of the 1970 U.S. Open at Hazeltine in Chaska, MN. It was the first week of June, so I only brought my shorts and a pancho.

He had always wanted an opportunity to see his "hero" play golf.

My husband Paul and I were privileged to see Mr. Nicklaus play in the Del Webb Father/Son Tournament Nov.29-Dec.2,2007. Because my husband had recently suffered a major heart attack, he had to ride an electric scooter during the tournament. Because of that, we could usually be found at either #1, #9, or #18 holes. However, on Saturday, we were privileged to see Mr. Nicklaus and Gary paired with Arnold Palmer and Jim Saunders.
