Jack Nicklaus visited Campeche, Mexico, to stop in on his Signature Golf Club design at Jade Golf Club at Aak-Bal. The golf course is the centerpiece amenity to this resort and residential property on the Yucatan Peninsula, situated on 1.5 miles of spectacular beachfront on the Gulf of Mexico. The course at Aak-Bal, a Mayan term meaning “the source of all things,” will weave through and around historic Mayan ruins, and is being built to protect and enhance those ruins. Jack toured the layout with the respective design teams from Nicklaus and the developer, ICA, and then lunched beachside with members of the media. Nine holes are expected to be open this fall.
