The Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Richland Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee, will host the 2015 Jack Nicklaus Cup Matches October 4–7, 2015. The course, which opened for play in 1988, was most recently given a nod in Golf Digest’s “Best In Rankings State-by-State” as a top-10 layout in Tennessee.
Richland’s par-72 championship course is 6,825 yards skillfully crafted into the club’s varied terrain. Members at Nicklaus Design golf courses around the world will compete at the course, keeping up a tradition which first began in 1984. Golf professionals from four Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses conceived the idea of an annual competition between the members of these clubs. The participating teams included members from Annandale, Lochinvar, Castle Pines and Shoal Creek.
Since its inception, the matches have been held for the fun and challenge for the Nicklaus family of courses. The event has proven to be an excellent format for keen competition, but more important as an opportunity to establish camaraderie among Nicklaus Design’s affiliated golf clubs.
