This week's Honda Classic field is arguably the strongest of any PGA Tour event in 2014 outside of a World Golf Championship, with seven of the top nine players in the World Golf Ranking. Add in the demanding and spectacular Jack Nicklaus-designed Champion Course at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and The Honda Classic has the feel of a major championship.

The Honda Classic unfolds just minutes from the North Palm Beach home of Jack and Barbara Nicklaus. Proceeds benefit Children's Healthcare Charity, which awarded a record $2.13 million to South Florida children's charities in 2013, and has as its primary beneficiary the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation.
A week ago, The Honda Classic had the top eight players in the world, but with a reshuffling of the World Golf Ranking this week and the withdrawal of No. 6 Justin Rose due to a shoulder injury, the field now boasts seven of the top nine-still a feat unmatched by any regular PGA Tour event held this year. The first stop in the Florida Swing will feature world No. 1 and Jupiter Island resident Tiger Woods, No. 2 Adam Scott, No. 3 Henrik Stenson, No. 5 and first-time Honda Classic participant Phil Mickelson, No. 7 Zach Johnson, No. 8 and 2012 Honda Classic winner Rory McIlroy, and No. 9 Sergio Garcia.

Unique Art of Nicklaus collection celebrates the hands that hold a record 18 major championships

First-of-its-kind offering, featured in Golf Digest, offers custom handprints from the Golden Bear, including originals in 22k gold

The Art of Nicklaus is a rare collection of artwork created for and by Jack Nicklaus to celebrate an unparalleled career highlighted by a record 18 professional major championship victories amassed over a quarter-century of excellence. Consisting of 22 original pieces, the collection features original handprints from Nicklaus done in gold and various colors to pay tribute to the Masters Tournament, U.S. Open, Open Championship and PGA Championship. This includes 18 one-of-a-kind pieces to commemorate each major won by the Golden Bear, and these were crafted in paint that contained 22-karat gold leaf.

The Art of Nicklaus collection was unveiled in an exclusive spread by Golf Digest in its February issue.
The Jake raises record $2.2 million to support the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation

Generous sponsors and benefactors of the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation helped raise a record $2.2 million at The Jake, an annual dinner, auction, and pro-am golf tournament that serves as the Foundation's primary fundraising event. The 10th playing of the event, which took place Feb. 23-24 at The Bear's Club, the Nicklaus family's home club in Jupiter, Fla., topped the previous high of $1.5 million raised in 2012.

"Each year, Jack and I are overwhelmed by the passion and compassion shown by the players and professionals who support The Jake," said Barbara Nicklaus, Chairman of the Board for the Nicklaus Childrens Health Care Foundation. "For this year's event to raise over $2 million sends a message about the collective spirit of the participants and how important the efforts of the Foundation are to each of them.
