Jack Nicklaus installs Southwest Greens synthetic turf in his North Palm Beach backyard

Iconic sportsman and golf course designer Jack Nicklaus has redesigned the practice putting green at his North Palm Beach, Fla. home to include all Golden Bear synthetic turf by Southwest Greens (SWG). His family’s primary residence since 1970, Nicklaus has used various grasses over time. His practice green complex, and the addition of a multi-use bocce court, prompted the recent redesign in partnership with Southwest Greens.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work more closely with the SWG team in developing Golden Bear turf for private home greens as well as golf facilities,” said Jack Nicklaus. “I see more people, including my own family, using Golden Bear turf at their homes, so I really wanted to try it out at my house. My family and friends will enjoy the new area we designed. The turf is terrific and offers a number of advantages, including reduced maintenance costs and water conservation. This is a trend you will only see increase in the coming years.”
